I passed my Nordic Walking Instructors Course in March 2010 with Nordic Walking UK and haven’t looked back since. Before then, exercise was not in my vocabulary and anything to do with fitness filled me with dread.BUT, since starting Nordic Walking on a regular basis I have lost weight, eased the problems with my back and have lots more energy. To get the full benefit from Nordic Walking it is important to learn the correct technique and to walk on a regular basis. With people living longer it is better to stay fit both in body and mind. Once you’ve taken up Nordic Walking you’ll wish you’d started years ago.
Come along and give it a try(Over 18’s Only). We are a friendly group and walks take place every Sunday morning starting at 9.30am and last approx 1hr 20mins. There is no charge , refreshments are available after the walk (tea,coffee and my homemade muesli bars) at a cost of £1.00. Poles are available to hire at £1.00 per pair.
The walks are never the same route consecutively. All walks involve a variety of terrains including footpaths, gentle hills, woodlands country lanes and bridle ways
